Pitch-a-Friend at Hi-Wire

Hello all,

Hi-Wire is hosting a Pitch-a-Friend event and I thought some of y’all might be interested in joining!

If you don’t know what that is, this event is an opportunity for people to create a PowerPoint pitch of their single friend and why people should want to date them. Last time there were links to each person who was pitched and you could send your information if you were interested, or a friend’s info if you thought they would be a good match.
Around 8-10 people get pitched, then at the end, they have a single’s mixer to get to know everyone.

Just make sure you follow all the rules and keep it fun/ not embarrassing for the person being pitched. Also, they obviously have to consent to being pitched. lol

as those are all the same expectations we have for all our wonderful Meetups. But to sum it up, No means no. Please be very aware of the social cues and words people are using to communicate, and respect their boundaries accordingly. If you are unable to abide by these rules, you will be banned.
If someone is making you uncomfortable, please let me know immediately. If you don’t feel comfortable letting me know immediately, please send me a message afterwards.

I’m really excited to see what the vibe is all about as I unfortunately had to miss the last one they had in Durham, I heard it was really fun though! This event also isn’t only for single people, so feel free to come and just hangout. Last time they had it, they gave everybody name tags where they could list their relationship status so that everyone knew ahead of time who was there in support and who was there to get to know other singles.
