Want a taste of improv, community and to meet some new people! We understand that taking the jump into improv is sometimes a scary thing to do, which is why we offer our Discover Improv class!
Arrive up to 30 minutest early and enjoy some coffee, drinks and snacks on us before we jump into play! Lead by a master instructor this free 2-hour class takes you(and your new found ensemble) through games and exercises that will leave you laughing and making some new friends!!
After class you can plan to hang around the theatre with your instructor and classmates to meet, eat and mingle! Our bar will be open immediately after the class! like a play date followed by a small party!
This event is a great introduction to what our Level 1 class is all about: listening, communication, creativity, connection, community and fun! This class is for any student who has never taken a class at Finest City Improv before. This is a "pay what you can" class.

Explore the exciting and playful world of improv! Whether you're looking to step out of your comfort zone, meet new people, or simply try something new, our Discover Improv meetup group is the perfect place for beginners to jump into the fun.
Pre-registration is required as space is limited. You can easily reserve your spot REGISTER HERE!Here’s everything you need to know:
About The Event- Who: This class is designed specifically for beginners, so no experience is necessary!
- What: Each session features a series of warm-up games and improv exercises designed to help you tap into your creativity, spontaneity, and joy.
- When: May 25th at 1:30pm!
- Where: Our meetup takes place at Finest City Improv, located in the vibrant Hillcrest neighborhood at 3746 6th Ave, San Diego, CA 92103.
Registration:
- Cost: The class is completely free—just bring yourself and a willingness to have fun!
- What to Bring: Please come dressed to move! Comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes are recommended (no sandals or flip-flops, please).
- Bring your positive energy and a sense of adventure—improv is all about trying new things and enjoying the moment!
Additional Details:
- Age Requirement: You must be 18 years or older to attend.
- Parking: Please note that parking can be a bit tricky in Hillcrest, so plan some extra time into your commute. There are paid lots at Rite Aid located at 535 Robinson Ave. There are also unmetered spaces south of the theatre towards Balboa Park.
