The Great Plague 1665: the full story

Details
Another chance to attend this popular guided tour on bank holiday Monday.
The Great Plague swept through London during the summer of 1665. 100000 people were thought to have died, a quarter of London's population at the time.
There were many myths and superstitions about the plague and how it should be treated.
In this fascinating history tour we'll discover: why the first plague deaths were ignored; the exodus from the City of the wealthy; those who stayed behind including the plague doctors with their potions and lotions, the 'women with the wands' and the watchmen; the plague pits and the recent startling discovery. All this and much more as we tour the streets of the once plague-ridden City of London.
If this is your first time on Meetup or with this group, you will be made very welcome! We will finish near Tower Hill tube. More people, places and history on the Discover London YouTube Channel.
