37th Annual NJ Festival of Ballooning - Morning Ascension Only

You do not need a festival ticket for this meetup event. If there is inclement weather, the rain date is Sunday morning, 7/28/19.

I know 6:15am is hella early to watch hot air balloons launch but it is, in my opinion, the best time to go during the whole festival. It's just really beautiful to see hot air balloons take off during the morning sun. And, as you can imagine, it's not crowded. ;) Again, you do NOT need to purchase a ticket to the festival to see the hot air balloons launch. Here's the plan:

• Meet and park at Old Towne Park (In the past, we parked at Silver Saddle Swim Club down the road but I don't like how they sometimes charge $10 for parking. Old Towne park has a free parking lot.)

• Walk 1.1 miles from the park to the Solberg-Hunterdon Airport (If you'd prefer to drive, parking at the festival is $10 per car.)

• Watch hot air balloons inflate and launch from the employee parking lot next to the festival entrance. Bring a chair or blanket if you would like to sit.

• The all you can eat buffet breakfast features eggs with and without kielbasa, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, our delicious sweet cheese Pierogi with fresh berry sauce, fruit, pastries, and more!

• $15/person

Again, you do not need to purchase a festival ticket to attend this event! We will not be seeing the balloons up-close but there will still be a good view. Check out pictures from past years:

Additional Notes: Phone reception is bad in the area during the festival so while I'll try my best to send updates during the event, they may not go through. Attendees last year said there was some traffic in the area so I would recommend you leave a little earlier.
