ORIGAMI-Paper Folding
Details
Origami is a traditional Japanese art that creates a wide variety of forms from a single sheet of paper. People of all ages can enjoy it together with almost no tools. Therefore, it gently connects people’s hearts.
In this presentation, I will introduce the history and charm of origami and how it is also applied in medical science and space exploration.
After that, I will demonstrate several origami pieces, including
a chopstick envelope, a chopstick rest, and a samurai helmet. It’s good for table decorations. Watching the instructions is enjoyable, but it’s even more fun when you make it by yourself. I would appreciate it if you could prepare four sheets of paper, about 15 centimeters (5.9 inches) square. Any kind of paper is fine—advertising flyers, wrapping paper, or whatever you have on hand.
We look forward to seeing you on April 25th.
