Wildflower Hike - Inniswood Metro Gardens

Ohio is home to many different types of wildflowers!

Spring is here, and it’s the perfect time to lace up your hiking boots, grab your camera, and soak in the vibrant wildflower displays at one of Central Ohio’s most beloved parks. 🌿📷
Nestled just north of Columbus, Inniswood Metro Gardens is a 123-acre natural retreat filled with scenic trails, woodland paths, ponds, and thoughtfully landscaped gardens.
As we explore, you’ll spot native blooms like:
🌼 Bloodroot, Spring Beauty, Large-Flowered Trillium (Ohio’s state wildflower), Lupine, Virginia Bluebells, Wild Geranium, Mayapple, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Columbine, Black-Eyed Susan, Coneflower, Wild Rose, and Marigold.
We’ll wander through highlights like the Spring Woodland Garden and the whimsical Sisters’ Garden, perfect for a laid-back morning immersed in nature’s beauty.
What to Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes
• Water bottle
• Camera or phone for flower-spotting
• A light jacket or layers depending on the weather

you must return a few times especially in the Autumn!
We will walk the main paved path - a big circle , maybe a mile, 45 min. Chatting, take lots of photos, no rush. The main path you’ll see many of the highlights of Park then we can hike.

1. Hike- 1/3 spring run trail - rocky
2. Boardwalk trail - 1/2 mile

There’s no pets, no bikes- it’s a very calm peaceful park. It was donated by two sisters named Grace and Mary in 1972 and they wanted the public to enjoy their preserve. There’s 10 gardens six trails lots to see.
They have a Toadstool making class today lol!!
