Welcome to the group! Houston is HUGE and only getting bigger. So for newcomers it is a daunting task to do anything. For locals...well they tend to stay in their local community and not venture out much. This group will explore familiar haunts along with periodically checking out some new areas of interest. We're always looking for new Assistant Organizers with new/fresh ideas. If you are willing to host events, please email me with your ideas. I would love to hear from you!

Hey Everyone,We've been "riding hard" these last few weeks. We started off with our Scavenger Hunt Bar Hop. Had Christmas in July. And this last weekend enjoyed festivities at that HUGE Block Party in the Heights known as White Linen Night. So as we head into this next week let's take a quick breather, put the gears in reverse and head over to Highline Park for WEDNESDAY IN "REVERSE" !!!
As our regulars know, at WEDNESDAY IN "REVERSE", we can ENJOY BOTH DRINK AND FOOD SPECIALS ALL NIGHT LONG !!! Whenever someone asks if it's OK if they don't get there right at 7PM, I always say no worries ,,,"you're never late to a Meetup." Well that's doubly true for this event. The folks at Highline Park are offering us 15% off both food and drink items all night long (except items already on special).
Located in MKT Heights, Highline Park boasts a large patio overlooking the Heights Hike & Bike Trail along the bayou (a perfect place to watch the sunset). It's menu includes a wide variety of beer, wine and cocktails along with a selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches and pasta. Also, as our regulars know, because MKT Heights has so many cool 😉 restaurants in the same area, these meetups usually include a mid-meetup ice cream run to Honeychild's Sweet Creams 🍦🍦🍦. And with Highline Park open 'til midnight we can leave our tabs open and circle back afterwards to finish off the night !

Patterson Park Patio Bar, located off White Oak Bayou Trail, has been billed as the "Treehouse on the Trail" in the press (and the "Treehouse Bar" by us 🙂🙂) on account of it's spacious wooden upstairs patio/deck which provides a great view of the lush greenery around White Oak Bayou. Along with the view, the 9,000 square venue also includes arcade and board games and a wide variety of food and drink offerings.
So whether you’re brand new, or if you’ve been before, feel free to come on by Saturday night ! It will be a great way to both catch up friends as well as meet somebody new !
