Let's canoe on Berounka!

I’d like to invite you to a relaxing canoeing trip. We will canoe about 10 km long stretch of the Berounka river in the protected landscape area Český kras near Prague.

You can join even if you haven’t canoed before as long as you can swim. You should also be somewhat physically coordinated and have patience to learn a new motor skill!

I’m not a certified instructor however, I have taught countless people the basics of canoeing.

LOGISTICS
We will meet on Saturday 21st June at 9:30 in front of the main ticket office at the Prague Main Railway Station.

We’ll be aiming to be back in Prague by 18:30. However, we will be as fast as the slowest members of our group and an unexpected delay is possible. This is a full-day event.

WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU
• Shoes to wear in water (sandals, or you can buy special shoes for walking in water)
• Wear clothes which dry fast (NOT jeans)
• Sunscreen
• Towel and maybe some spare clothes (in case your canoe capsizes)
• Swimwear
• Bottle of water and a small snack.
• Put all your staff to a small compact bag – we will put all our belongings into water-proof barrels and they are not very large.

You need to be prepared for a possibility of the boat flipping (capsizing). Keep your phone in a waterproof case and have glasses on a string while on the river!
