Bike Historic Lido and Bird Key

This ride is about 10 miles at speeds between 10-12 mph with frequent stops to discuss the history of the area.

Starting at The Lido Pavilion at 8:30AM, we'll discuss the Civil Rights History of Lido in the 1950s and the original architecture of the first pavilion. Other stops include South Lido (including the wooded area), Ted Sperling Nature Park, North Lido and its restored woodlands, The Van Wezel home and Bird Key and its early history.

BRING: road ready bike, helmet (mandatory), water, snack, tire repair kit, etc. If you haven't ridden your bike for a while, make sure you test it out and maybe get it checked out before the ride.
