Tour Gamble Plantation Historic State Park

This tour of the mansion will be given by a park ranger and will include the history of the plantation from the mid-19th Century into the 20th century.
Gamble mansion was built in the 1840s by Robert Gamble. The plantation grew sugar cane, primarily, for the market in New Orleans. When the Civil War ended, he Secretary of War for the Confederacy, Judah P. Benjamin, hid from the Union at Gamble Mansion until he could escape to England.After touring the home with the park ranger, you'll be able to walk the grounds and visit the small museum. If you've been to the Reflections of Manatee tour, this makes an interesting contrast.
FEES: $6 for the tour. Arrive at 10:15 for the 10:30 AM tour as I need to sign you in and collect the fees so that I can pay the cashier. Please bring the correct amount of cash.

PLUS ONES: If you want to bring a plus one, you must include them when you sign up for the tour. Do not show up with a plus one who's not on the attendance list as your plus one or that person will be turned away. You can only bring one plus one. No walk ons. You must be signed up to attend.
