Paddle Ted Sperling Park Mangrove Tunnels

We launch at 8:30 AM sharp, so you need to arrive 20-30 minutes before launch time, so you can be paddle ready at 8:30.

The paddle begins by exploring the mangrove tunnels between the bay and Brushy Bayou. We take a break at Sandy Point, the southern tip of South Lido, From there we paddle around Otter Key to look for manatees and other sea life before returning to the launch site.

BRING: Kayak/SUP (no rentals).paddle, PFD/whistle (mandatory by law), water, snacks, etc.

This trip is suitable for people with at least 3 months of paddling experience. Prior experience in mangrove tunnels helps.

Ted Sperling park is on Taft Drive, at the end of the Blvd. of Presidents. Don't confuse it with South Lido beach, whichh is one the end of Benjamin Franklin Drive. Note the photo for this event.
