This is a slow, relaxed paddle with a distance of approximately 4-5 miles.

Launching from the Coquina Beach South Boat Ramp at 9 am sharp we'll paddle out to and around The Two Sisters Islands including a mangrove trail cut through one of them, then paddle to the Longboat Pass bridge, go under it and get some beach time at Greer Island aka Beer Can Island before heading back. You can splash in the clear waters of the pass, hang out on the beach or walk the beach and look for shells then head back to the launch area.

Plan to arrive 30 minutes early so you can be paddle ready at 9.

BRING: kayak/SUP, PFD/whistle (required by law), lots of water, snack, sunscreen, etc. NO RENTALS AVAILABLE

DIRECTIONS: If you come from Sarasota down Gulf of Mexico/Longboat, once you reach the longboat Pass bridge (it connects Longboat Key with Bradenton Beach), you'll be less than a mile from the turn off. A photo of the sign is included in the post for this event. The sign is where you turn to get to the boat ramp. It's across the street from Coquina Beach. The boat launch is on the bay side. My directions give the address at 1465 Gulf of Mexico Dr. S., Bradenton Beach, so it's a little different from the pin.
