This tour of the north end of Siesta Key pedals at speeds between 10-12 mph for a distance of about 10-12 miles with frequent stops to discuss the history of the area. The tour begins with a short history of the key, then stops at several Sarasota School of Architecture homes (architecturesarasota.org) to observe them and discuss the history of the movement. Other stops and discussions include The Out of Door Academy and the artists and writers colony on Siesta after World War 2.

BRING: road ready bike, helmet (mandatory), water, etc.

Meet at Nora Patterson Bay Island Park, 946 Siesta Dr., Sarasota, Fl 34242, in front of the bathrooms.
