Bike North of Downtown SRQ

This is a slow, relaxed bike ride of about 10-12 miles at speeds between 10-12 mph with frequent stops to discuss the early history of Sarasota and look at some of the remaininig buildings. Some, but not all of the stops, include The Municipal Auditorium ( see photo at top of description). Art Center Sarasota, The Chidsey Library, The Blue Pagoda, the restored Belle Haven, Van Wezel, Whitaker Gateway Park and Pioneer Park and the Whitaker cemetery.

Plan to arrive 10 minutes before the 8:30 start time to unload your bike. We start on time.

Depending on the heat and the time, Pioneer Park and the Whitaker cemetery may be eliminated from the tour.

BRING: Road ready bike, helmet (mandatory),water, snack, etc. If you haven't ridden for a while, road test your bike before signing up.

PARKING: Meet in front of the Municipal Auditorium (see photo in description of event). The only entrance is at the 10th St. roundabout at 10th and U.S. 41.
