We'll be using the Canoe Outpost in Wimauma, Fl for this event. Check their website at thecanoeoutpost.com or call 813-634-2228.

You need to arrive at 9am to make payments and unload your kayak if you're bringing one or to secure your rental so we can launch at 9:30am.

We'll be taking Trip 1. For details, go to the website, select River Trips and scroll down to Trip 1 for details. Do this before signing up.

If you bring your own kayak, the cost is $20. That includes launching fee, return by the canoe outpost bus and use of their rinse station.

Rentals: If you're planning to rent a kayak, first go to the website and check out the pricing. Next, call the canoe outpost and make your reservation.

BRING: Your kayak if you're not renting, PFD and whistle (required by law), and, for everyone water, sunscreen, cash/credit card, lunch, etc. Styrofoam coolers aren't allowed on the river.

The canoe outpost has asked me to tell everyone not to wear jeans. You'll regret it. Quick drying clothes are best.

This is my itinerary. You're welcome to hang with me or go your own way.
9am-Arrive, pay, unload kayak.
9:30 am-Launch kayak at canoe outpost.
11:00am-Arrive at Little Manatee River State Park for lunch.
11:30-11:45-Depart park for fish camp so I can arrive before 1 pm and get the bus back to the outpost. If you miss the 1pm shuttle, the next one is at 2. This is a tentative itinerary. You know how nothing ever goes as planned.
