What we’re about
I am interested in having at least a one off Meetup group where anyone interested can get together to discuss Surrealist Lyrics and Poems.
This would include anything from the French founders of the movement (Andre Breton) to anything interesting lyrically that might be classed as Surrealist, and the various features within a given Surrealist type of lyric (I, to get the ball rolling, will bring in some of the song lyrics of songs that I like in; you could do the same) and thought processes that might have produced the result.
No one should dominate or control the discussion, including me, but I do have a simple resource on the techniques used and the commonalities between works of Surrealist poetry that we might take a look at together.
