Discworld/Mundodisco Fans Meetup @ Glories

This is a meetup formed with the intention of making connections between people interested in the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, as well as his other works. Whether you're still working through your first Discworld books (in whatever order you decide!) or you're an experienced fan, this is an opportunity to make new friends who enjoy Discworld/Pratchett, discuss the books and characters, and branch out into other related interests as well:)

We aim to ensure this is a friendly and welcoming space for everyone - after all, it's being initiated by proudly queer immigrants from different parts of the world! We expect the main conversation languages to be English and Spanish, though we will not shy away from welcoming other speakers into the discussion whenever possible.

There is no need to have a lot of experience with Discworld, just a genuine interest in the topic.

This FREE event will take place at the Biblioteca El Clot - Josep Benet by Metro Glories, in the same building as the Museu de Disenny. It will start at around 12:45. We will have a place to sit and chat. The library closes at 14:00, so we will need to clear out by then, but there are many places to eat very closeby and anyone who would like to continue chatting and hanging out (hopefully with newly made friends!) will be welcome to have a drink or tapas together.

No need to bring anything but good vibes and a willingness to make conversation, but if you want to bring any Discworld merch or other items to show off, be our guest!

Este es una reunion formado con la intención de formar conexiones entre personas que están interesadas en la serie de Mundodisco de Terry Pratchett, así como sus otras obras. No importa si todavía estas leyendo los primeros libros (en cualquier orden que decidas!) o si eres un fan con experiencia, este es el lugar hacer amigxs nuevxs que disfrutan del Mundodisco/Pratchett, discutir los libros y personajes, y explorar otros intereses relacionados también:)

Queremos asegurar que esto sea un espacio cómodo y bienvenido para todxs - después de todo, esta siendo iniciado por unxs inmigrantes orgullosamente "queers" y que vienen de diferentes partes del mundo! Estamos esperando que los principales idiomas de conversación sean el inglés y el castellano, aunque no nos cerraremos a incluir otros hablantes en la discusión cuando sea posible.

No es necesario tener mucha experiencia con el Mundodisco, solo tener interés genuina sobre dicho tema.

Este evento GRATUITO tomara lugar en la Biblioteca El Clot - Josep Benet que se encuentra por Metro Glories, en el mismo edificio que el Museu de Disenny. Comenzara alrededor de las 12:45. Tendremos un lugar para sentarnos y charlar. La biblioteca cierra a las 14:00, asi que tendremos que irnos para ese entonces, pero hay muchos lugares de comer muy cercanas, y cualquiera que quiera continuar hablando y pasando el rato (con nuevos amigxs!) estaran bienvenidxs a tomar algo o comer tapas juntxs.

No hay necesidad de traer nada ademas de buenas vibras y estar dispuesto a hacer conversacion, pero si quieres traer algun "merch" de Discworld, o otro objeto, estas bienvenidx!
