Information on the Speakers:
• James Faure - Comes from a research background, having spent three years building a computer vision system that utilised deep learning models to analyse medical images and predict which patients were seeking treatment for a hospital. Following that, he moved to London, where they worked as a data scientist and MLOps engineer. Most recently, he decided to venture into the world of entrepreneurship and founded Clairo AI. Clairo AI is developing a platform that enables businesses to deploy and manage generative AI agents privately and sustainably, at a fixed cost.
• Amir Houieh - Founder & CEO at Unbody.io. A software engineer who graduated from Art Academy who loves building software. In 2018, he set up Suslib in The Hague, focusing on the sweet spot where computer vision, ML, and HCI meet. His drive to bridge AI's development with its real-world use led to Unbody.io, a platform making AI integration simple, paving the way for the development of more human software.
• Zhaohan Dong - Co-founder of AI Venture Pulse, an AI startup and investor newsletter/podcast. He is also an early-stage team member at WiseWorks AI. He is interested in how human perception meets technology and how those apply to interdisciplinary fields like technological arts and behavioral finance.
Information on the talks:
• Talk 1 - Generative AI, a transformative advancement akin to computer vision, uses deep neural networks to analyze vast unstructured data. Initially focused on public data to build foundational models, it now enters a second wave, utilizing proprietary data from large enterprises to unlock new capabilities and efficiencies.
An AI agent consists of three components: a model (core algorithm), a dataset (learning data), and an instruction (task objectives). Integrating these elements allows businesses to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and drive innovation.
• Talk 2 - How the future of LLM will move beyond manual prompting - A demo on DSPy. DSPy is a new frameworks to let the LLM perform tasks in a declarative fasion and self-improve on the given metrics. In this talk, we'll walk through the basics of a workflow definition, as well as caveats of the project at the moment.
• Talk 3 - AI-first is becoming the new mobile-first. But what the heck does it mean to be AI-native? In this talk, I'll dive into the characteristics of AI-native apps and how we at Unbody are building the foundation for non-ai developers to create AI-native apps. I will share a quick demo of how to build the most advanced AI features, such as semantic search, multimodal search, generative search, and more, on top of private data in just one line of code using Unbody.
