Data privacy expert Ashok Chandra, Esq. will give a detailed overview of how evolving data privacy laws will disrupt numerous industries.
Over the last decade a series of events highlighted by Edward Snowden's revelations, the Target data breach, geographical tensions and the Cambridge Analytica event have created a domino effect resulting in government regulation with the purported purpose of giving consumers more control of the identifiers that companies use to identify you.
With the California Consumer Privacy Act, these regulations have finally come to our shores and we are just seeing the beginning of data privacy as law. We will examine these laws and see what it means for both businesses and citizens.
Event Details: February 20, 2020, NomadWorks Annex, 2nd Floor, 1204 Broadway, NY, NY, 7-9PM.
