Skyline Drive Climbing Adventure 🚴‍♂️⛰️

Join Diane Harris and friends for another mountain climbing adventure as we return to Skyline Drive on Friday, May 1st (rain date: May 8th), starting from Sperryville.

📍 Meet-Up: 8:15 AM
🚴 Roll Out: 9:00 AM

We’ll roll from Sperryville and make our way approximately 7 miles to the Thornton Gap entrance of Skyline Drive. From there:

• Climb to Skyland Resort (restrooms, food, drinks available)
• Reverse and continue along Skyline Drive
• Head to Elk Wallow for a second stop
• Reverse again and descend back to Thornton Gap
• Exit and return to Sperryville

📏 Distance: ~51.5 miles
⛰️ Elevation: ~4,900 ft

⚠️ Important Ride Notes:

• Front and rear lights are REQUIRED — there is a tunnel after Thornton Gap (also a Skyline Drive rule)
• Park entry is CASHLESS – bring a card or pass
• Entry fee is $15 (limited passes may be available, not guaranteed)
• This is an UNSUPPORTED ride – bring your own hydration, nutrition, and tools
