Urban Hike: Rock Creek Park

Details
Lets go for a hike in the beautiful Rock Creek Park!! We can get together and discuss the keto way of life while getting in some exercise and nature.
I suggest bringing water or something to hydrate yourself and a snack if you feel inclined to do so. Make sure to check the weather ahead of time and dress in layers if need be. Pets are more than welcome to join but please keep in mind the rules to follow, found here: https://www.nps.gov/rocr/planyourvisit/pets.htm
Here is a link to the brochure if you want to print it out or have it on your phone for reference (I suggest you do): https://www.nps.gov/rocr/planyourvisit/upload/FINAL-Highlighted-Hikes-in-ROCR-2018.pdf
We will be doing the Rapids Bridge Hike that is about 2 miles, it's the last trail on the brochure. This 2- mile loop hike takes you through the forest and then parallels the scenic whitewater section of Rock Creek before heading back uphill. The trail is identified by orange tape on wooden posts.
In the event of rain or snow, this will be rescheduled
We will meet at the Nature center then start out on the hike.
Public Transportation: To the Nature Center--
The Friendship Heights or Fort Totten Metro Stations are the closest to the Nature Center.
Take the E-4 bus from either Metro Stop.
If taking the bus from the Friendship Heights Metro Station, you will get off of the bus at the Military + Glover stop.
If taking the bus from the Fort Totten Metro Station, you will get off of the bus at the Military + Oregon stop.
Once off of either bus, look to your left and follow the trail up the small hill to the Nature Center.
