Effective spoken communication is essential in everyone's lives. The aim of MBC Toastmasters is to help both our church membership and people in our community foster and improve their skills and become effective public speakers and leaders. MBC Toastmasters is one of 14,350 clubs established world-wide (122 countries) under the umbrella of Toastmasters International, an organization founded in 1924 to provide an enjoyable way to hone communication and leadership skills.

Founded by H. Beecher Hicks, Pastor Emeritus, and chartered on May 15, 2006, MBC Toastmasters has grown to become recognized as one of the most successful clubs in the DC Metropolitan area, with members earning recognition is a variety of areas.

We welcome everyone who wants to improve their professional, leadership and public speaking skills through Toastmasters in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!
