World Hunger Day

Which country currently has food that could feed over a million people for 3 months? Yes, the same country that chooses to let that food rot in warehouses around the world due to its government's cuts to global aid for international development.

What is an alternative to a country's self-centered, isolationist greediness? One is The Hunger Project, https://thp.org/, founded in 1977 and (like Toastmasters) a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in California.

The Hunger Project has made May 28 World Hunger Day, 2 days after the Memorial Day barbecues in the US. In comparison, per THP and other sources, about 8.9% of the total world population is chronically undernourished, compared to about 2.5% in the US.
