Day of the Dead and Halloween
Details
Day of the Dead, Día de Muertos in Spanish, is a traditional Mexican holiday that honors and celebrates lost loved ones — November 1 for children (Día de los Angelitos), and November 2 for adults. Families display altars showing photos of the deceased, along with their favorite foods and beverages.
Halloween, like Día de Muertos, also has various items and celebrations associated with it. We the living invite you to join us on October 22 as we share our experiences while the sun slowly sets and nighttime welcomes our vivid imaginations.
