About us

Grab your dinner or a cuppa, set up your zoom and work on your latest art project alongside others.

Think of it as a weekly dinner date on your comfy couch for those who regularly eat alone, but would prefer not to.

With the latest NDIS funding cuts, and the rapidly rising cost of living, it is getting harder for folks to get out into the community. We need alternative ways to connect.

This social group is for everyone 18+ but will centre the comfort of queer, trans, disabled and BIPOC folk. It is hosted by Jay Wood, a white, queer and trans artist, educator and art therapist.

Group Guide

  • You can work on any art project that pleases you
  • Jay will have a silly still life scene for you to recreate with whatever you have lying around if you can't think of anything to work on.
  • Please include 'not speaking today' in your screen name and you won't be called upon to share or talk AT ALL. We will honour your choice to participate in ways that make you feel most comfortable.
  • Chat feature will be on.
  • We ask that cameras be kept on to help the group feel safe.
  • Jay is happy to be a kind but firm bouncer in order to keep as much safety for the group as possible.
