Community Conversation/Art Fest Celebrating the Americans with Disabilites Act

Details

Come celebrate the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)--landmark legislation passed in 1990 which provides legal protections for people with physical and mental disabilities. You can read more about the act here. The event will include poetry, exhibits from local artists, and a community conversation on the effect of the act on the individuals that the ADA seeks to to support. The event is at the Five Star Center at 2832 Arsenal St, St. Louis, MO, 63118 and runs all afternoon.

As a side note, according to the organizer, they are still seeking individuals who would like to perform during the open mike portion or those who would like to display art. If you know anyone who is interested, please let me know. They are looking for individuals who are disabled or who have been impacted by a mental or physical disability.
