Diversitech

Diversitech is a group set up by Funding Circle; one of the world's top 50 FinTech companies.

We have set up this group to tackle the lack of diversity in technology focused roles such as Software Engineering, DevOps, Security, Data Science .... the list goes on!

At Funding Circle, we are working hard to ensure that we have a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture, but there is only so much we can do to move the dial today. So we have created Diversitech to ensure that we can affect change for tomorrow!

We plan to run events that will give back to the community by encouraging, inspiring and motivating those from different backgrounds to either learn new technical skills, or improve what they already have.

Our first event will focus on the gender skills gap among programmers, so we will host Python Code Academy aimed at women from any profession or stage of life who want to learn the programming language Python. It could be suited for either complete beginners, or those who know a little but want to improve. This will be hosted at Funding Circle by our employees and is completely free to attend.
