Q1: What is the role of a medium in spiritualism?
A: A medium acts as a bridge between the physical world and the spirit world, conveying messages from spirits to the living. They help provide comfort, guidance, and healing insights from loved ones who have passed on.
Q2: How do mediums receive messages from spirits?
A: Mediums receive messages through various forms of communication such as clairvoyance (seeing), clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (feeling), and claircognizance (knowing). Each medium may have a unique way of connecting with the spirit world. Our mediums have experience with working with Spirit and they practice integrity. They give honest messages that inspire hope, love and inspiration. If you have questions or are feeling stuck, you will receive the guidance you are searching for.
Q3 Can anyone become a medium, or is it a special gift?
A: Anyone can develop their mediumistic abilities. It often involves training, meditation, and a deep understanding of spiritual practices. DLSC offers mediumship classes go to

Q4: What can attendees expect at the A Night in the light event?
A: During this demonstration, our mediums will take turns connecting and delivering messages to audience members. These messages can be comforting, validating, and sometimes provide specific information that only the recipient would know. Did we mention.. so much fun! These events are always an enjoyable uplifting time. The first part will be open messages to the full group and then we will break off into smaller groups. Everyone should receive couple of messages. There are mediums at the back of the church offering personal readings and this year w have spiritual healing and reiki healing. There will be a raffle for door prizes and refreshments ( all is included in the price of your ticket)
Q5: How should one prepare for a reading with a medium?
A: It's helpful to come with an open mind and heart. You might want to think about any specific questions or loved ones you hope to connect with. However, it's important to be open to whatever messages come through, as the spirit world often has its own agenda.
Q6: Can I just show up to this event and buy tickets at the door?
A: This is not advised . We have a limited seating in order to provide a personal experience for attendees. It is best to buy your tickets in advance to secure your seat.
Q7: Why are there so many Reverends and why?
A: Our senior spiritualist reverends are formally trained and all have over 10 years experience with working with Spirit. Spiritualism is a an incredible religion, and one of our focuses is proving that life, and the love that was shared, exists after physical death. We are privileged to have so many talented people working this event. Our Spiritualist Reverends have been formally trained and keep their skills updated. They are positive, dedicated, and have spent many years working with and serving their ministries providing love, hope, acceptance and inspiration to the people in their world.

2026 Mediumship Development Classes
Weekly classes from Sept 2026 to May 2027
$80 a month. Membership $15.
Tuesday Sept 9th Intermediate Class,
Wednesday Sept 10th Advanced Class
Thursday Sept 11 Beginners Class at 7:00pm In Person
Wednesday Sept 10 Beginners Online class at 12:00pm

Each class is a prerequisite for the next.
Everyone regardless of their mediumship experience ( Unless previously trained by Rev. Joe or our sister spiritualist church leaders) must start at the beginners level.
Mediumship Classes help you develop your natural talents and enhance your personal relationship with your version of Divine Love. We learn to connect with unseen aspects of our reality and to harness all aspects of perception. You learn to trust yourself more.
Some side effects of these classes may cause an increase in self esteem, a new ability to understand yourself and to trust yourself.
Another side effect is meeting a group of amazing people and making heartfelt connections and amazing friendships.
Class seating is limited to 15-20 committed students
Email Divinelightspiritualchurch@gmail.com for questions and to confirm your spot. Classes can be audited at a cost of $20 a class( Visit us and see if it is for you) until Nov 1st, After that our development circle will be closed.
Class hours are 7:00pm to 9:30 pm with the option of going until 10:00pm Sometimes our discussions or practice can run a little late, please be aware of this, We will do our best to finish at 9:30, but reserve the right to finish at 10:00 if you need to leave early, please make sure you say the closing prayer before you quietly leave.
