"Hiding From Love" Book Discussion

http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/e/6/5/2/event_93718962.jpegWe get together most Thursday evenings to review and discuss books related to personal growth. We are an ongoing drop-in group at MPPC, open to anyone, although most of us come from the Divorce and Relationship Recovery group.

Currently, we are discussing "Hiding From Love" by John Townsend. "Why do so many of us hide from the things we long for most from connection, from intimacy, from love? We conceal our hurting parts from God, others, even ourselves. As children, our hiding patterns may have protected us in a threatening environment. But what served as protection for a child can become a prison to an adult, isolating us from the very things we need to heal and mature."

We review and discuss one chapter a week. You do not need to have read the book, or even own the book. But having some familiarity with the material definitely makes it more worthwhile, and more fun to discuss. Come as you are. We meet in Room A-20 at MPPC.
