Date Night with Myself

Details
### š DATE NIGHT WITH MYSELF š
An invitation to treat yourself the way you deserve.
One of the things Iāve been working on in my own healing is learning to give myself the same care, love, and attention that I used to pour into my relationships. Itās easy to rely on others to make you feel valued, wanted, and secure. But now I'm working on giving that to myself.
This is your monthly invitation to take yourself on a dateāno meetups, no pressure, just you showing up for you. Instead of waiting for someone else to make life special, letās learn to do that for ourselves.
⨠Hereās how it works:
- Do something special for yourself, just like you would for a partner.
- Share your experience in the group if youād like! Post a photo, a thought, or a moment from your night.
- Check out these videos from Heidi Priebe on building a healthy relationship with yourself and How To Love Yourself When It Feels Hard To
šæ Ideas for Your Date Night:
- š½ļø Take yourself to dinner (or make something fancy at home!)
- š Read a book at a cozy cafĆ©
- šØ Create somethingāpaint, write, or play music
- š Have a self-care spa night
- š¶āāļø Go on a sunset walk and reflect
- š¶ Play your favorite music and dance around the house
- āļø Write a letter to your future self
- š¬ Have a cozy movie nightābut only if you do it with intention. Set it up the way you would for a partner: favorite snacks, comfy blankets, no guilt, no multitasking. Just a night to truly let yourself relax.
Why does this help?
I used to hear about self-care as if it were just just about bubble baths, mantras and meditation. But the real work? Itās learning to feel safe and loved in your own presence. Itās realizing you donāt need to wait for someone else to make you feel validatedāyou can give that validation to yourself.
