What we’re about
We know. We've been their ourselves - separation and divorce is an extremely difficult time. Besides the loss of a relationship, oftentimes family and friends simply don't understand the pain . . . or the fear.
This FREE separation and divorce recovery meetup seeks to be a safe environment where you will be heard and understood. Using DivorceCare faith-based learning resources, your heart and emotions will be handled with care throughout this 13-week meetup (but you can drop-in anytime!). You don't have to be a church-person, religious or even believe. We simply want to offer you a safe place to process what you're going through, whether you believe the Bible or not (because we've all been there too).
So if you're in need of some heartfelt empathy - and plenty of it - you'll find it Tuesday nights, both in-person in Redmond, WA and online at 7 pm (Pacific).

GROUP MEETS TUESDAY AT 7PM THROUGH JUNE 2025
DROP-IN ANYTIME (See Below). This divorce recovery support group is a caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. Our free in-person and online 90 minute meetups are facilitated by people who've survived separation and divorce themselves - they "get it" and help lead the conversation in an environment that is empathetic and non-judgmental.
This group uses the faith-based DivorceCare learning & video resources - but you don't have to be religious, a church member, or even believe. This divorce recovery group is for anyone who needs an empathetic group of people who've been there...and understand. THAT'S US. We also offer DivorceCare for Kids (ages 5-10 or so) at the same time/location.
Our IN-PERSON, 7pm Tuesday group meets at Redmond's Timberlake Church (let us know if you're interested in our online group and we'll send you the info). Typical attendance is around 15, with an age range from the 20's through 60's...and from virtually all walks of life. Each meetup discussion stands alone - so YOU'RE INVITED to drop-in ANY TUESDAY we're meeting.
You'll learn from the weekly HD teaching videos and other resources designed to help you deal with the pain of the past and present...and gain practical, sound insight as you take steps to rebuild your life. You can check out the group anytime during our 13-week repeating cycle (fall, winter & spring). You'll find care and support even if you attend just one Tuesday 7pm session.
Topics include anger, loneliness, new relationships, depression, the "ex," forgiveness, finances, children, "moving on" and more. As mentioned above, even though the in-person group meets at a church and the sessions center on insight from the Bible, you don't have to be a church member, a Christian or even religious. Embrace what you're hearing or not...there's no judgment (really!) - just hope, healing, friendship and understanding.
WATCH to get a :90 look, GENERALLY, on what a Tuesday evening meetup is like (again, SORT OF)!
We'll send you more details after you reach out via meetup.com...but if we can answer any questions before then, please email care@timberlake.church / 425.284.1004 (office). We're here to help.
