This is a story about replacing a Django monolith with a set of Go microservices. The talk will compare both Python & Go as languages, as well as Django & Gin as web frameworks. The lecturer will share their experience during the migration process, the issues they faced, and the pros & cons they see in each ecosystem.

🗣️ Who is Ilian Iliev?

Ilian Iliev has been programming since 2003 and working with Python since 2009. He loves it for its simplicity, power, and flexibility. Despite that love, he has been working heavily with Go in recent years. He has presented at various conferences, including HackConf and DEV: Challenge Accepted, and local meetups. Ilian is passionate about connecting with new people, sharing knowledge, and exchanging ideas.
