Django-Vienna 03/2020 – CANCELLED
Details
We will cancel our Django Vienna next week (March 17th) – following the recommendations of the Austrian government in regards to Covid-19:
Rudi Anschober, Austrias minister of health

What does it mean:
- Most of our regular meetup attendees will not match the profile for being at lethal risk after an covid-19 infections.
Nevertheless, the current goal is to slow down progress of spreading the virus. In order to allow our health care system prepare for additional capacities needed due to more demand in care centers and hospitals. By having less personal contact in the next weeks, we will have significantly less total infections as a society. Therefore, helping to protect those at risk of lethal infections. - As meeting with you in person is the main reason why we run this meetup, we decided to cancel the meeting and not to have an online version of this event. (Neither are we technically prepared for having our meetup online.)
- The speakers of the cancelled committed to give their talks during our meetup on June 16th. Therefore, we will have 3 exciting talks focusing on performance ("Optimizing Django database queries", "Tracking and optimizing web performance" and "Comparing ElasticSearch Queries to Django database queries"). Stay tuned!
