Django User Model: Past, Present, Future

For our first in-person event in many years, Django Boston is welcoming speaker Will Vincent!! He will provide an overview of Django’s history and focus on the Django user model. He'll get into the username/first name/last name pattern, and talk about current solutions and some in the works that might make their way into to core to give us functionality like email by default.

Speaker profile:
Will Vincent is a former Board Member of the Django Software Foundation and the founder of LearnDjango.com. The author of three books on Django, he co-hosts the Django Chat podcast and co-writes the weekly Django News newsletter. Previously, he taught computer science at Williams College and was involved in multiple early-stage startups in Boston and the Bay Area, most notably Quizlet.
