What we’re about
Greetings and welcome to the Greater Detroit Lakes Area Crafter's Meetup Group! We're a new group and the admin Kristi/Janae is new to owning a group on meetup and overall, so please be patient with the management :).
This was originally intended to be for knitting and crochet, but there's lots of other portable arts and crafts we can do in public. Crafting and making are overall so much more social than we sometimes realise. Come hang out and do whatever creative, preferably non-work project you feel led to work on! You can sit, watch, just talk, and/or lurk until you're more comfortable, if you need.
The other intention for this group was for it to be in person at the Caribou Coffee in Detroit Lakes, MN. However, Kristi's health isn't good enough for all that quite yet, so it has to be virtual/video for now. This will be a virtual and in-person group after it does start meeting in person.
There's a Facebook group and a Discord server for this group as well, to allow for more access to video/chat abilities. The server's called Noodle Brigade, because why not? Both are linked at the bottom of the page.
