What we’re about
Liberals/Progressives 50 years old and up wanting to meet for intellectual conversation on topics the group will choose. An opportunity to be with others who are open-minded that think and feel deeply about life and our place in it. Topics could include current events, culture, science, the arts , psychology and spirituality. Gertrude Stein hosted salons in her home in France in the 1920's with artists and writers. Salons have occurred since the 1600's with people wanting to appreciate and live life fully. Enjoy the comaraderie of being with others who enjoy intellectual stimulation to find connection and community. Share ideas, ask questions, develop new understandings and expand your world. Meets 1x month at a public place in South Austin. Led by Deborah Vanko an artist, psychotherapist and fellow seeker of meaning, truth and beauty.
