We're back!

5/24 Update: Modelcasting is complete! Click here to see who is coming! Hint: It's Joy, Molly, Masha and Maria.

Note: Meetup used to allow inline photo uploading to quickly see which models were casted, but they don't allow this anymore, so the album above is our best shot right now.

After a too-long hiatus, Denver Metro Photo Workshops is back with our first in a series of organized group shoots. This one will take advantage of the lush and beautiful early season green foliage at Stonehouse Park in the Southwest Denver/Lakewood area! This shoot is set to take advantage of golden hour and a hopefully beautiful sunset!

The theme of the shoot is Natural Light Beauty and we're working on a surprise or two!

For Denver Metro Photo Workshop veterans, the format will be familiar: meet at the location, do a quick introduction, and split off into small teams with a model and shoot a set for about 30 minutes. Then, models will rotate to a new photographer team and we'll continue until we're done shooting, or we run out of light. Typically, everyone is done after a couple hours.

Due to the nature of this format, you will not have time to setup complex lighting. If you want to shoot with strobes or an on-camera flash, make sure it's portable and easy to quickly adjust.

Or better yet, experiment with shooting natural light and roll with what nature gives you to work with.

Bring bug spray, just in case!

If you want to do model releases, please be prepared with those materials for models to sign. Denver Metro Photo Workshops will not provide them.

Following the shoot, please have photos edited and uploaded to the event page within one week of the shoot date. Models collecting photos for their portfolios and individual use is a big part of the reason they love coming to our workshops.

As always, photographers retain all copyrights to their work, and models will be instructed to tag photographers on social media and not edit or alter work including the use of filters, etc.

Special notes:

As always, these events are hands off. Please cue models verbally and do not touch. We've had photographers previously asked to leave events due to displaying poor boundaries. For everyone's comfort and safety, this rule will be strictly enforced.

Historically, our photographers have been very generous in tipping our models. Please consider doing so, if you're able. This little bit of icing on the cake helps us build a community of dependable and enthusiastic models, which can greatly benefit further events.
