———Weather Permitting Event———
Get ready for two days of epic riding, great company, and wide-open forest roads! I will also create a WhatsApp group to add registered folks to discuss details and planning. Here's the plan:
May 17th (Saturday) – 235 Miles
📍 Meet at 8:00 AM – Livingston Walmart (look for the bikes away from the store)
🛠️ 8:00–8:15 AM – Safety meeting, route overview, and group-up
🏁 8:15 AM – Kickstands up and hit the trail (counterclockwise loop)
🍽️ Dinner around 7:00 PM
🛏️ Overnight stay in Center, TX
May 18th (Sunday) – 237 Miles
📍 Meet at 7:00 AM – Center Walmart
🛠️ 7:00–7:15 AM – Safety talk and group-up
🏁 7:15 AM – Kickstands up for Day 2 fun!
Important Notes:
- Bring your bike-specific tools and spares.
- Everyone must have a navigation device or phone app with the GPX file loaded and tested before the ride.
- Gas stops may be up to 100 miles apart.
- FM 2565 can be nasty when wet—have a backup plan.
- We will ride as a group, let’s make sure no one gets left behind and be ready to help each other when needed.
- Ride your pace, wait at corners for the rider behind, and always let someone know if you're leaving the ride.
- Stay safe, ride smart, don’t let blind corners or slick bridges catch you off guard.
- This ride is tentatively set for May 17–18 and may shift based on group interest or any weather event.
- If the distance is too far to ride in on the morning of May 17th, feel free to arrive on Friday, May 16th, check in at a hotel in Livingston, and meet the group fresh the next morning.
No sweep vehicle unless someone volunteers. Let’s look out for each other and have a blast!
Hope to see you in Livingston on May 17th!
