Community Control, People's Clinics & The Liberation of Political Prisoners

The struggle to support and also liberate political prisoners is not separate from the overall struggle for the liberation of us all. The work is the same. Only the highest levels of mass political consciousness along with the implementation of the people’s programs, borne out of the contributions of incarcerated freedom fighters, will create the conditions necessary for the state to release them.

Join Pan-African Community Action (PACA) and the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement - DC Chapter (MXGM-DC) to strategize community clinics and health programs as both rapid and long term responses to the needs of returning prisoners, both political prisoners and members of our community. This concluding session of our Black August Resistance series will tie in the struggle to address medical neglect and mistreatment to broader campaigns for building alternative institutions toward ultimate liberation.
