As women of color in healthcare leadership roles, sometimes it can be challenging to fit into a specific supportive network. We face daily challenges which are often not discussed including: workplace discrimination, isolation, burnout and daily stressors of patient care. Being minorities in healthcare our age, sex, or ethnicities can serve as barriers to our professional development. This group serves to bring together diverse women in healthcare leadership roles including MD, NP, PA, PT , Pharm D ,DO, OT , PHD, RN and other areas of healthcare to empower , support, network while providing a safe space for stress release!
Disclaimer : Considering the time, effort and challenges put forth into organizing a successful meet up , we ask that those individuals willing to join this group have an open mindset of the concept of meeting new people. As we value each individuals time , we require participation to atleast 2 events yearly from each member in order to keep the group functioning. We remove members w/ 3 months of inactivity, consistent NO SHOWS & last minute cancellations with no notice . We do understand that life can be quite unpredictable , therefore ask that you please give advance notice for all event cancelations as each members time is uniquely precious .
