This trail is a great option for the hotter days, as it's almost completely shaded by surrounding trees. There are lots of trail options to explore in Rock Creek Park. This route combines Valley Trail, Pine Trail, Holly Trail and Muddy Trail.
A large portion of this trail meanders alongside the river. There are plenty of beachy areas to take a break. The elevation changes are minimal as you make your way through the woods. The trails are reasonably well-signposted, but spotting the markers on the way back can be a little tricky.
