This loop is a combination of the Old Carriage Road, Ridge, and River Trails. The trail travels along the Potowmack Canal ruins, Difficult Run, and the Potomac River. There are several awesome views of the river rapids along the way. The loop begins from the Great Falls Park Visitor Center where there is also a picnic area.
