Welcome to the DMV Filmmakers, a vibrant community for filmmakers and movie aficionados right here for the DMV. Whether you're a seasoned filmmaker, a budding storyteller, or someone who simply loves dissecting every frame of your favorite films, this group is for you.
Our goal is to create a space where passion for filmmaking and cinema meets collaboration and creativity—a kind of MFA-style salon, but without the tuition! We’ll come together to watch and discuss films, share ideas, hone our craft, and most importantly, connect with like-minded artists and enthusiasts.
What makes this group unique?

Through a collaborative group project, we’ll pool our skills and creativity to produce a film together, showcasing the collective talent of this community. From writing and directing to cinematography, editing, and beyond, there’s a role for everyone who wants to contribute.
