Meeting and Discussion: Music of the 1960s

In this third meeting, we will be discussing music of the 1960s, one of the most important decades for rock and rock-like music. Prepare to share your favorites of rock, Britrock, Motown, jive, surf rock, psychedelic rock, early prog rock, jazz, folk revival, and more!

The agenda is as follows:
1. Introductions
- We will go around introducing ourselves, giving a brief overview of who we are, where we're from, and which kinds of music we like. A surefire way to break the ice!
2. Favorite songs/artists/albums of the 1960s
- We will then go around sharing our favorite songs, artists, and albums released in the 1960s, playing a song using our devices. Multiple selections are encouraged!
3. Discussion questions
-The organizer will provide a brief overview of music trends that occurred in the 1960s, their origins, and what they evolved into, and will then provide curated discussion questions about those trends. There are no wrong answers, and we would appreciate follow-on questions as well!
4. Closing
-The organizer will then provide the era of music for the next event to help us prepare.
