Meeting and Discussion: Music of the 1980s

In this fourth meeting, we will be discussing music of the 1980s, a decade that contained an explosion of music genres! Prepare to share your favorites of classic rock, heavy metal, synthpop, new wave, hip hop, rap, new jack swing, and more!

There will even be cassettes from the era, played on my boombox!

The agenda is as follows:
1. Introductions
- We will go around introducing ourselves, giving a brief overview of who we are, where we're from, and which kinds of music we like. A surefire way to break the ice!
2. Favorite songs/artists/albums of the 1980s
- We will then go around sharing our favorite songs, artists, and albums released in the 1980s, playing a song using our devices. Multiple selections are encouraged!
3. Discussion questions
-The organizer will provide a brief overview of music trends that occurred in the 1980s, their origins, and what they evolved into, and will then provide curated discussion questions about those trends. There are no wrong answers, and we would appreciate follow-on questions as well!
4. Closing
-The organizer will then provide the era of music for the next event to help us prepare.

Hope to see you all there! Happy listening, and stay tuned for more info!

Feedback is also appreciated.
