Join us for a magical evening under the Corn Moon 🌕 at Founder’s Park in beautiful Old Town Alexandria! We’ll meet at 5:00 PM to watch the sun set and the full moon rise over the Potomac, filling the sky with a warm glow. This is the perfect spot to relax, meet new people, and enjoy the charm of the waterfront while the moonlight shimmers on the river 🌊✨.

Bring something comfy to sit on — a foldout chair, blanket, towel, or sheet 🧺 — so you can settle in and enjoy the view. Feel free to bring along frisbees, a football, or even take advantage of the park’s volleyball court 🏐 for some lighthearted fun before the moon makes its big appearance. This will be a relaxed, laid-back evening, so whether you want to play, chat, or simply take in the view, there’s space for everyone.

We’d also love for you to bring shareable snacks or finger foods 🍇🥨 so we can create a mini picnic atmosphere while we wait for the moonrise. Parking is available via nearby metered street spaces and public garages, with free parking on residential streets a short walk away 🚗. For Metro riders, take the Blue or Yellow Line to King Street–Old Town Station and hop on the free King Street Trolley 🚋 to the waterfront.
