Have you ever felt lost in a wine shop or wished you could banter with a sommelier at a restaurant? Do you want to not only enjoy wine but learn more about it. This group is for all wine lovers, from the novice to the expert. The only requirement to join is a love of wine. Types of events could be exploratory wine tasting where we compare different or unique wine styles, blind tastings, visits to local restaurants and wineries (when it is safe to do so), and general get-togethers to drink and talk wine.
While there are no dues to join, some events might require a cost to attend. For example, if we do an exploratory wine tasting of orange/amber wine then costs will be split among attendees. Similarly, events at restaurants and visits to wineries might require an additional cost to attend.

- Winery Day Trip Tour with Vineyard Voyages -West Falls Church metro Station, Falls Church, VA
** Ticket required. Please read below before purchasing your ticket**
This is a full day (10AM to 6PM) wine trip via Vineyard Voyages Bus Tours. We will visit the following wineries during the trip (Hillsboro Vistas Journey tour):
- Williams Gap Vineyard
- Hillsborough Winery & Brewery (and lunch stop)
- Carriage House Wineworks
The bus will depart from and return to the following locations:
- West Falls Church Metro Kiss & Ride lot @ 10:00AM, Returns 6:00PM
- Market Station near Neighbors: A Local Market (Leesburg) @ 11:15AM, Returns 5:15PM
The cost for the full day tour is $83.99 ($79.99 + $4.00 booking fee) and does not include the cost of tastings. You can either pay for tastings at each winery or pre-purchase when you buy your ticket. (Contact me if you are on the fence about any pre-purchases.)
You are free to bring your own food. Please be aware that while both Carriage House Wineworks and Williams Gap Vineyard allow outside food, Hillsborough Winery & Brewery does not. All of the wineries have food and/or light fare available for purchase. (See links below for food offerings.)
To purchase your tour ticket, click here and follow these steps:
- Select Winery Day Trip Tour (top-left picture)
- Select Sunday May 25th on the calendar (right-hand side of page. The selection will turn blue when selected.)
- Click the "+" under "Vineyard Voyages Explorer" to select tickets for the standard trip. If you want to pre-purchase your tastings, click the "+" under "Vineyard Voyages Connoisseur" instead.
- Follow the instructions to either check out or add options to your ticket. Don't forget to select your pickup/drop-off spot.
