Have you ever felt lost in a wine shop or wished you could banter with a sommelier at a restaurant? Do you want to not only enjoy wine but learn more about it. This group is for all wine lovers, from the novice to the expert. The only requirement to join is a love of wine. Types of events could be exploratory wine tasting where we compare different or unique wine styles, blind tastings, visits to local restaurants and wineries (when it is safe to do so), and general get-togethers to drink and talk wine.
While there are no dues to join, some events might require a cost to attend. For example, if we do an exploratory wine tasting of orange/amber wine then costs will be split among attendees. Similarly, events at restaurants and visits to wineries might require an additional cost to attend.

It's baaaaack! Barcelona Wine Bar on 14th street is once again hosting one of their fabulous UNCORKED events on Monday September 1st at 5PM. Many of our members rave about this event and always ask when the next one will take place. Please see the details about the event below.
For this UNCORKED, we’re opening the bottles we can’t stop thinking about: the effervescent, the chillable, the crushable. From zippy Basque Txakoli to bright Cava bubbles, each one screams summer heat and spontaneous patio hangouts.
Additionally, fresh off the heels of winning Best Organic Wine List in North America from The World of Fine Wine, every bottle we’re pouring will be organic.
UNCORKED is our walk-around tasting party where we open 30 wines from our cellar—your chance to “try the list” from our award-winning wine program. The wines are accompanied by Chef’s seasonal paella and passed tapas.

Join us on Saturday, September 6th in The Number 9 Lounge, above Planet Wine, for an informative yet informal tasting that'll include thirty of our favorite Spanish wines - sparkling, still, dry, and sweet!
We will be attending the 3PM - 5PM session. Planet Wine is offering food packages so you can enjoy snacks from Hi-Fi and Evening Star with your tasting! You can purchase your food package when you purchase your ticket.

This is a full day (10AM to 6PM) wine excursion via Vineyard Voyages. We will visit the following three wineries during the Catoctin Foothills Excursion tour:
The bus will depart from and return to the following locations:
- West Falls Church Metro Kiss & Ride lot @ 7040 Haycock Rd, Falls Church, VA 22043 - 10:00AM, Returns 6:00PM
- October One Vineyard Tasting Room @ 7 Loudoun St SW, Leesburg, VA 20175 - 11:15AM, Returns 5:15PM
Ticket Options:
- Tour Only: $94.49 ($89.99 + $4.50 booking fee)
- Tour + Prepaid Tastings: $167.99 ($159.99 + $8 booking fee)
Both Casanel Vineyards & Winery and Hidden Brook Winery allow outside food, however Fleetwood Farm Winery does not. All of the wineries have food and/or light fare available for purchase.

- Verify that the calendar displays September 2025 and that the 13th is blue.
- Select your ticket option. NOTE: Connoisseur is checked for 1 ticket by default. Use the "+" or "-" to adjust the type and number of tickets desired.
- Click the blue "Add to Cart" and follow the screen instructions to check out. Don't forget to select your Pick-Up Spot under Additional Info.
- When you receive your confirmation email, don't forget to click the "Sign My Waiver" button to fill out and sign your waiver.

An Evening of Wine, Spirits & Culture at the Spanish Cultural Center
Join us at the Spanish Embassy’s Cultural Office on Friday, September 19th, from 7–9 PM ,(6PM - 9PM for VIP tickets), for an evening that’s sure to impress your taste buds.- VIP Tasting + Early-Access ticket (6-9 PM) $175: guests will be able to arrive at the event one hour before the other guests (at 6:00pm) for a three-hour tasting experience. VIPs will enjoy a selection of exceptional wines only available during this early-admission hour in addition to an enhanced menu of delicious Spanish tapas.
- General Admission + Early Bird Pricing (7–9 PM) $100: Sip your way through Spain with an impressive list of Spanish wines from regions such as Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Cava, Jumilla, Rias Baixas and more. And indulge your taste buds with Spanish bites and a gourmet selection of Spanish meats and cheeses from our very own La Cheeserie.
There are no strict wardrobe guidelines, but cocktail attire/business casual is recommended.
