Anticapitalist Writing Workshop: Radical Queer Futures

After The Storm is partnering with our community members April and Julia from the Metro DC Democratic Socialists for America Bodily Autonomy Working Group for a writing workshop on Wednesday, April 23, from 6:30-8:30pm, at Bol Coop and Creative Grounds in NW DC.

Radical Queer Futures
Envisioning queer futures is a communal, radical, and joyous exercise. Come to this workshop to connect with your comrades and co-create revisionist futures in which our communities are celebrating and thriving! We will borrow from the writing of those who came before us as we respond to the present moment, and begin building our bridge to a better world.

Format
This workshop is capped at 40 people to ensure everyone is comfortable in the space. Depending on the number of participants, the facilitation may occur in smaller groups to give people time to connect with others. There will be two facilitators, some individual writing time, and time to collaborate and story share in groups.

Event Policy
After The Storm events are all-inclusive spaces for folks to meet new people, socialize, and support each other with care and curiosity. This particular event is open to the public. If any member is made to feel uncomfortable by someone else in attendance, please approach After The Storm and we will have a conversation with them. If appropriate, we will ask them to leave. We do not tolerate any kind of harassment or abuse.
