## DNA. presents: "Creative Writing"
In this workshop, You will learn a method that can help You to strengthen Your access to Your creativity, write more, write better and get back into a flow state in which new ideas emerge.
> Rediscover Your creative flow with Lena's hourglass method.
##### HOURGLASS METHOD
Lena will guide You through the three phases of her hourglass method, which consist of different writing exercises, and explain the background to them.
You will use pen, paper and Your words as tools, but You don't have to be a poet to have fun and benefit from the workshop :)
##### APPLICATION OF THE METHOD:
The method can also be used on Your own at home after the workshop, whenever You need a creative jump-start.
##### SETTING:
The small group setting as a safe space also allows You to share your thoughts with others.
You'll learn techniques to:
- Tap into Your Inner creativity.
- Overcome self-doubt and fear.
- Express Yourself authentically and confidently.
- Cultivate a sense of purpose in Your art and communication.

##### ABOUT LENA HOHL:
Lena is a writer and a creative who expresses herself through words and her voice. After spending most of her life trying to fit in and conform, she rediscovered her innate passion for writing. It all started with a diary; now she is finishing her second book and working on a series script with a co-author. Lena loves stepping out of her comfort zone and trying new things. In addition to stories and essays, she writes and performs rap songs and has recently started working as a freelance writer.
She has also completed certified training in storytelling and author consulting. In her Hourglass Method, Lena combines knowledge from her education and interest in creative processes in the brain with ideas based on her own experience as an artist. Her goal is to help and inspire people to radically be themselves and fully unleash their creativity.

## DNA. presents "Online Writers Session"
### an Open Platform to connect, share & grow. Together.
> In this context, "Online Writers Session" means we are bringing in different writing styles and helping each other improve through drafting, receiving and giving feedback. Showcase the best version of Your writing, as we provide a Shared Space for Writing of all kinds (including prose, poetry, essay's etc. ) and for Writers of all Levels.
### Writers of all kinds & all Styles are welcome.
This workshop is all about bringing storytellers, poets, writers, essayists, screenwriters and creative minds into a shared online space where they can draft each-others work and receive positive as well as critical feedback in an encouraging manner.
> Every respectful Person is welcome to join.
#### WHEN:
Every Wednesday
START: 8.30 pm
END: 10.30 pm
#### WHERE:
Online Session Facilitated Via Google Meet.

> Whether You're there to show off Your skills or simply soak up the creative atmosphere, this is Your opportunity to be part of something special. Take the chance to join the Writers Session and see where Your passion can take You.
#### DRAFTING GUIDELINES:
- Encouraging feedback.
> “This and this was great, do more of it. I would also work on this etc.”
- We could be working with sensitive pieces.
- Include trigger warnings.
- Creating a safe space to encourage vulnerable.
#### STRUCTURE:
Each week, participants can sign up to present their work.
It’s important that we know who will be presenting at least 1-2 days in advance.
If it is your first time it is important to sign up so you can be added to the Online Session on Google Meets in due time.
##### PARTICIPANTS:
- 4-6 people presenting their drafts
- 12 people giving feedback

##### TIMEBREAKS:
- TOTAL PER PERSON: 20 minutes
- 5 minutes for reading and explaining the intention behind the text
- 5 minutes for individual drafting (putting ink to paper)
- 5-10 minutes for feedback
Each author receives 12 copies of their draft with written feedback at the end.
TOTAL SESSION TIME: 20 minutes x 6 people = 1 hour 20 minutes
±10 minutes depending on the length of each draft.
There will be a 5-minute break after 45 minutes.
#### **WHAT TO BRING:**
Participants can bring drafts of any kind—poetry, prose, spoken word, etc.
#### STEPS TO JOIN:
- Sign up to present Your work.
Only 6 presentation slots are available per session.
2. Sign up as a feedback giver.Attendees who give feedback will receive priority to present their work in the next session.
3. Sign the "statutory declaration" in regards to plagiarism and confidentiality.Attendees must sign this document so we can ensure that no authorship is plagiarised and re-produced without consent.
